Baklava Cornflakes Bites

These little bundles of sweet middle eastern flavored goodness have the power to brighten anyone's day!

ingredients:

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachio
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 2 Tbsps sesame seeds
  • 3/4 cup sweet condensed milk
  • 5 cups unsweetened cornflakes
  • 1/3 cup ground pistachio

instructions:

Directions
  1. In the butter, over medium heat, toast the pistachio, pine nuts and sesame seeds until lightly browned
  2. Add the sweet condensed milk and stir until the milk turns a light caramel color
  3. Add the cornflakes and stir until all is combined. Turn off the heat and let the mix rest to cool down a bit so it can be handled. Don't let it cool all the way down. Once the caramel cools it will set!
  4. Spreading some butter on your hands, roll the mix into balls, roughly the size of golfballs. Place the balls on wax paper or silicone mats. Sprinkle each with ground pistachio nuts. Let them cool completely before serving!
