Pine nuts and feta cheese give this sauce texture and zing.
A few veggies drizzled in olive oil and lemon and sprinkled with mint and parsley, brighten and make the kofta flavors pop.

ingredients:
Meatball Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup ground walnuts
- 2 Tbsps Olive Oil
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp dry oregano
- 1/2 tsp dry mint
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Sauce Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 2 cups plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts
- 1/3 cup chopped parsley

- Preheat oven to 190C/375F
- In a large bowl mix all the ingredients for meatballs. Mix well until well combined
- Roll into balls, roughly the size of golf balls.
- Place the balls on a greased baking sheet. Bake on middle rack for 18-20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let them sit for 2 minutes
- Meanwhile, for the sauce, in a large pan, sauté in olive oil the garlic and chopped onion until onion is translucent. Add the yogurt, lemon juice, turmeric, salt and pepper. Heat through without boiling.
- When the meatballs are ready, add them to the prepared sauce. Turn to coat.
- Serve warm, sprinkling some feta cheese, parsley and toasted pine nuts on top.
