Leek Rice
Dressing up that everyday side is what I like. I mean, white rice is always good. But the possibilities for dressing it up are endless! I totally recommend this one. It’s intense leek and garlic infusion is balanced by a subtle hint of turmeric and thyme. Perfect to join any protein on your plate!

Leek Rice

A very simple rice to make, yet so flavorful with the sweetness of the leeks. Any meat will be highlighted with this side dish.

- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups leeks, sliced
- 1/2 cup minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 Tbsp dried thyme
- 3 cups cooked aromatic rice, basmati or jasmine
- Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
- Salt & Pepper to taste

- In olive oil, over medium heat, sauté leeks until they start to wilt
- Add garlic, dried thyme and turmeric. Stir for 1 minute
- Add rice and stir gently until all is incorporated
- Season with salt and paper to taste. Stir for no more than 3 minutes over medium high heat
- Serve warm with fresh thyme as garnish
